  • Truffle Tour

    Luxury gastro-excursion to Piedmont.

    Program includes: Visiting and tastings at top Barolo and Barbaresco estates; Lavish truffle-laden feasts in the finest restaurants in the country’s gastronomic heartland; Nocturnal truffle hunting and visit to the famous Alba truffle fair. Accommodation is at converted hunting lodge La Contea in picturesque Neive and 4-star deluxe Villa Becaris with stunning views from Monforte d’Alba.

    For an extended visit, we will fly into Genoa on the Italian Riviera and visit the renowned Villa Sparina winery in Gavi, staying on the estate and enjoying Michelin-Starred cuisine in the atmospheric environment of their wine cellars.

  • Trentino, Alto-Adige Wine Tour

    Visit to Italy’s hidden wine gem!

    A great opportunity to explore the stunning wines and scenery of this largely unexplored region. From the critically-acclaimed Bordeaux blends of San Leonardo, the venerable estate of the Marchese Guerrieri-Gonzaga, to the extraordinary Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noirs of Tenuta Hofstätter and finishing at boutique Amarone producer La Giaretta, wine connoisseurs will not drink a better or more varied selection of wines in Northern Italy.

    The South Tyrolean region is particularly picturesque in May / June however, the option to spend an extra evening in Verona during Opera season in July is also commended.

  • Obligatory Tuscan Excursion

    The rich diversity of Tuscan viticulture and the rustic charms of the region’s cuisine and landscape are well documented, however WineChap offers something rather special. Our connections and experience operating in the region are sufficiently encompassing that we can organize any level or length of visit to this most popular of Italian destinations. Bespoke three or four day trips will include tastings at the best wineries in Chianti, Montalcino and Bolgheri; Visits to wine fairs and food markets; Cookery lessons and wine pairing instruction. Accommodation will be in boutique hotels and private villas in the region.

    Using WineChap as your guide your trips to Siena, Florence and San Gimignano will avoid the usual tourist traps to reveal the true Tuscany beneath the tour buses.

    From visiting the lesser-known galleries to wild boar hunting, all cultural aspects can be explored in between each bacchanalian feast!

  • Venice & Friuli Cookery

    A three day gourmet and fine wine break in the Veneto in one of the most beautiful estates in the region www.castellosansalvatore.it.

    This fabulously indulgent itinerary commences with a water taxi transfer to Pallazzo Rocca (acclaimed as one of the most beautiful in central Venice) and lunch in their private gardens. Transfer to Castello di Collalto and a tour of the cellars and wine tasting will precede a candlelit silver service BBQ in the gardens of the property, accompanied by regional wines.

    The rest of the tour will include:

    A visit to the Col Vetoraz Estate in the beautiful hills of Valdobbiadene followed by lunch and tasting of the stunning Valpolicella and Amarone wines from La Giaretta; Cookery Class with wine pairing of rare wines from Friuli then dinner of regional game specialities. We will finish with lunch at the famous Hotel Villa Cipriani.

    There will be time for siestas by the magnificent “organic” pool and a guided tour of the Castello (which dates back to 1000A.D) plus opportunities for Golf nearby and shopping in the Medieval city of Asolo.
